Introducing Blackbaud: Our New School Management System
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the MCS experience for students, families, and staff, we are excited to announce our transition to Blackbaud — a leading school management platform used by top independent schools across the country.
This school year marks a new chapter in how we communicate, manage academics, and run the day-to-day operations of our school. Whether you are a parent checking your child’s grades, a teacher entering attendance, or a new family completing enrollment, Blackbaud brings everything under one roof.
What Blackbaud Handles
- Grades & Academic Records — teachers enter grades and progress reports directly in the platform, and families can view them in real time.
- Teacher–Parent Communications — messages, updates, and announcements are all sent and received through Blackbaud, keeping communication organized and accessible.
- Admissions & Enrollment — new and returning families complete enrollment paperwork, submit forms, and track application status through the portal.
- School Calendar & Events — upcoming events, deadlines, and school news are visible directly through your family account.
Teacher Training Underway
Our teachers have been receiving hands-on training with Blackbaud since the start of the school year. The MCS administration has worked closely with the Blackbaud team to ensure a smooth rollout, and staff are becoming more confident and fluent with the platform every week.
How to Access Your Family Portal
Families can log in to their Blackbaud portal at alimacademy.myschoolapp.com. If you have not yet set up your account or need login assistance, please contact the main office. We want to make sure every family is connected and able to take full advantage of everything the platform offers.
