Office Administrator & Marketing Coordinator

Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Administrator & Marketing Coordinator to support the daily operations of our school and help grow our community outreach. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about Islamic education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage front office operations, visitor reception, and phone inquiries
  • Coordinate school communications including newsletters, emails, and announcements
  • Maintain and update school social media platforms and website content
  • Support enrollment and admissions processes
  • Assist with event planning for open houses, fundraisers, and school programs
  • Manage school databases, student records, and filing systems
  • Develop marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital content

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience considered
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, social media platforms, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
  • Experience in office administration or marketing preferred
  • Familiarity with Islamic schools or community organizations is a plus
  • A warm, professional demeanor and genuine love for working with families

Daycare Teacher

Full-Time

We are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Daycare Teacher to join our Early Childhood team. Our daycare program serves children ages 6 months to 2 years and follows the Experience Curriculum by Brightwheel in a warm, faith-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nurturing, age-appropriate care for infants and toddlers
  • Implement daily lesson plans aligned with the Experience Curriculum
  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Foster social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through play-based learning
  • Incorporate Islamic values and routines into daily activities (e.g., duas, Surah recitation)
  • Communicate daily with families via Brightwheel (photos, updates, milestones)
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and Early Childhood leadership

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of child development milestones for ages 0–2
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing personality
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
  • Must pass background check and meet Maryland MSDE licensing requirements

Physical Education (PE) Teacher

Full-Time / Part-Time

We are seeking an energetic and creative Physical Education Teacher to lead our PE program across grade levels. The ideal candidate will design engaging, inclusive activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship — all within a supportive Islamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate PE lessons for Pre-K through 8th grade
  • Develop a curriculum that builds fundamental movement skills, fitness, and coordination
  • Organize and lead school sports activities, field days, and intramural events
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and Islamic values of fair play
  • Adapt activities for students with varying abilities and needs
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure proper use of equipment
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
  • Teaching certification or relevant coaching experience
  • Experience working with K–8 students in a school or youth sports setting
  • Strong classroom management and motivational skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Enthusiasm for health, wellness, and youth development
  • Familiarity with Islamic school culture and values is a plus

Islamic Studies Teacher

Full-Time / Part-Time

We are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring Islamic Studies Teacher to nurture students’ understanding of the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history. The ideal candidate will bring the beauty of Islam to life through engaging lessons that connect faith to everyday living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Islamic Studies courses including Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, and Islamic history
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that connect Islamic teachings to students’ daily lives
  • Lead and support school-wide Islamic programming (assemblies, Jummah, Ramadan activities)
  • Foster a love of learning and spiritual growth among students
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with staff to integrate Islamic values across the school community
  • Serve as a positive Islamic role model for students

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Quran, Hadith, and foundational Islamic sciences
  • Teaching experience in an Islamic school or educational setting preferred
  • Ability to engage students of varying ages and learning levels
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Arabic is a plus
  • Must pass background check and demonstrate strong moral character

Innovation Lab Teacher (Middle School)

Full-Time / Part-Time

We are looking for a creative and tech-savvy Innovation Lab Teacher to lead our middle school Innovation Lab program. This role focuses on hands-on STEAM learning, design thinking, and project-based exploration — empowering students to become creative problem-solvers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver hands-on STEAM and maker-space activities for grades 6–8
  • Facilitate project-based learning using design thinking methodologies
  • Teach foundational skills in robotics, 3D printing, coding, and engineering
  • Collaborate with subject-area teachers to create cross-curricular projects
  • Manage Innovation Lab equipment, tools, and inventory
  • Organize student showcases, science fairs, and innovation competitions
  • Foster a growth mindset and culture of experimentation among students

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Experience with maker-space environments, robotics, or STEAM education
  • Familiarity with tools such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printers, or laser cutters
  • Teaching experience with middle school students preferred
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning
  • Familiarity with Islamic school culture and values is a plus

Elementary Homeroom Teacher

Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Homeroom Teacher to lead a self-contained elementary classroom. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, faith-centered learning environment where students build strong foundations across all core subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily instruction across core subjects including math, science, English language arts, and social studies
  • Create a warm, structured classroom culture rooted in Islamic values and academic excellence
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
  • Integrate Islamic values and character development throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular projects
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement and growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
  • Teaching certification preferred; relevant experience considered
  • Experience teaching at the elementary school level
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Islamic school culture and values is a plus

AP Instructors

Part-Time

We are looking for qualified AP Instructors to teach Advanced Placement courses at Alim Academy. Candidates should have subject-matter expertise and a passion for preparing high school students for college-level coursework.

AP instructors are needed in any of the following subjects:

  • AP Psychology
  • AP Government
  • AP Cybersecurity
  • AP Computer Science Principles
  • AP Computer Science A
  • AP Precalculus
  • AP Statistics
  • AP Business with Personal Finance

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver rigorous AP-level instruction aligned with College Board curriculum
  • Prepare students for AP exams through practice assessments and targeted review
  • Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment
  • Track student progress and communicate with families regularly
  • Collaborate with school leadership on scheduling and academic goals

Qualifications

  • Subject-matter expertise in the relevant AP discipline
  • Teaching experience at the high school or college level preferred
  • Familiarity with College Board AP curriculum and exam format
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Passion for student success and college readiness
