Islamic Studies Teacher
We are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring Islamic Studies Teacher to nurture students’ understanding of the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history. The ideal candidate will bring the beauty of Islam to life through engaging lessons that connect faith to everyday living.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Islamic Studies courses including Quran, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, and Islamic history
- Develop engaging lesson plans that connect Islamic teachings to students’ daily lives
- Lead and support school-wide Islamic programming (assemblies, Jummah, Ramadan activities)
- Foster a love of learning and spiritual growth among students
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with staff to integrate Islamic values across the school community
- Serve as a positive Islamic role model for students
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Quran, Hadith, and foundational Islamic sciences
- Teaching experience in an Islamic school or educational setting preferred
- Ability to engage students of varying ages and learning levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Arabic is a plus
- Must pass background check and demonstrate strong moral character
Spanish Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher to inspire students in grades 6–8 to discover the joy of language learning. The ideal candidate will create an engaging and immersive classroom environment that builds genuine communicative confidence from the foundations up.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish courses across ability levels, from Spanish Foundations through Intermediate Spanish, for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
- Develop engaging, culturally rich lesson plans that bring the Spanish language to life in meaningful and relevant ways
- Design and implement communicative activities — conversations, projects, and real-world tasks — that build reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills
- Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful, growth-oriented feedback to students and families
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students at varying language acquisition stages
- Collaborate with staff to create cross-curricular connections where appropriate
- Serve as an enthusiastic and encouraging presence that motivates students to take risks in a new language
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish required
- Degree in Spanish, Foreign Language Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
- Teaching experience at the middle school level preferred; experience in an Islamic or faith-based school is a plus
- Familiarity with communicative language teaching methods and second language acquisition principles
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and proficiency levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a background check and demonstrate strong moral character consistent with MCS/AA’s faith-centered mission
